About Jessica Caldera


Jessica Caldera is an accomplished trial lawyer with more than a decade of experience in criminal law. She is regarded throughout Missouri as an exceptionally prepared and aggressive litigator. Jessica connects well with jurors and effectively communicates legal issues as a simple, relatable story. Jessica reaches creative solutions to complex legal challenges.


Before joining HEWN, Jessica served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Boone County for eight years. During her time as a prosecutor, Jessica took more cases to jury trial than any other attorney in the county.


Jessica also served as an Assistant Attorney General. She handled more than 100 criminal appeals and argued before the Missouri Supreme Court as well as the Western, Eastern, and Southern District Courts of Appeal.


Jessica has regularly presented to attorneys and law enforcement on topics that include trial skills, expungements, driving while intoxicated, domestic and sexual assault, and criminal law updates. She has worked with Treatment Courts and worked to address mental health issues in the criminal justice system.


Jessica applies her experience and knowledge to ensure that every client’s constitutional rights are respected and guaranteed. Whether it’s a serious felony case or a traffic ticket, Jessica understands that every criminal charge can have a significant impact on her client’s life. She establishes a professional relationship with each client and she works hard to know all the facts and achieve the best result.


Jessica serves on the executive committee of the Boone County Bar Association and is very active in her church and community.
