Drug charges can seriously impact those individuals who find themselves facing such criminal allegations. Drug crimes can bring about serious penalties including significant jail time, especially in cases of alleged drug trafficking. A 31-year-old female and 34-year-old male recently found themselves in legal trouble with authorities after being discovered in an alleged mobile meth lab.
Now these two people are facing criminal charges, including violation of Missouri Controlled Substance Law, intent to distribute and manufacture dangerous drugs, resisting by flight, driving on a suspended license and other traffic charges. The woman also reportedly had three fugitive warrants out of one county and two out of another county. Some of these charges could lead to serious repercussions if the allegations are proven true at trial.
The more recent arrest reportedly came about after someone made a call reporting a suspicious vehicle driving in the Ellisville area. Authorities then pulled the vehicle over and later claimed that the male passenger took off running while an officer was talking to the female driver. Police detained the female while a foot pursuit of the male suspect took place. A K-9 was eventually brought in and the dog reportedly found the suspect hiding in foliage.
Now these two Missouri residents will be facing meth drug charges in court. Despite the claims made by authorities, they are granted the right to be presumed innocent while awaiting trial. Only if prosecutors succeed in proving them guilty of the charges against them by presenting convincing and relevant evidence in court will the man and woman actually be deemed guilty in the eyes of the law.
